The Fi'zi:k R4 Tempo Overcurve has a classic aesthetic that hides its advanced construction technique. It features a resilient polyurethane laminated material combined with a comfortable mesh, offering long-lasting foot support. The closure is fast and secure, thanks to the micro-adjustable BOA IP1 dial in an Overcurve pattern. This shoe construction has a staggered collar that wraps around the ankle, following the natural misalignment of the ankle's bony protrusions, resulting in an asymmetrical shape.
The R4 outsole strikes a balance between comfort and pedaling efficiency, making it suitable for various cycling disciplines. With a lower profile and 15% infused carbon fiber, the outsole is structurally optimized for efficient power transfer. It also provides ventilation and internal channelling for temperature management. The cleat positioning is slightly further rearwards compared to traditional settings, reducing knee compression and optimizing pedaling efficiency, particularly for aggressive, forward aero positions.
